This Season’s Unique Experience

Winter 2024-2025 has brought new and exciting changes to ice cave conditions. We’re actively updating this tour to adapt to these changes, ensuring a memorable and safe adventure.

  • Ice Cave Exploration: Begin by exploring a 20-meter-long, tunnel-shaped ice cave, just like our classic ice cave tour.

  • Glacier Hike: Venture further up the majestic Falljökull glacier, uncovering scenic locations far from the crowds.

  • Maximized Winter Daylight: This year’s tour is designed to minimize driving time and maximize your adventure on the glacier, providing an unforgettable 4-hour experience.

  • Comfort and Thrills: Enjoy the same thrilling glacier exploration without enduring prolonged exposure to the cold.

Past Season’s Highlights

Ice caves are dynamic wonders that evolve each season. Iconic formations like the Blue Diamond, Sapphire Ice Cave, and Crystal Ice Cave no longer exist, but each winter unveils new breathtaking caves.

Before every season, our guides meticulously scout the glacier to find the best and safest locations, allowing us to share Iceland’s glacial beauty without compromise.

Getting There – A 4x4 Adventure

Begin your journey deep into Iceland’s glacial wonderland aboard our custom 4×4 vehicles, built to navigate the rugged, ice-sculpted terrain.

The Ice Cave Experience

A short 10-15 minute hike leads you to the entrance of the ice cave. The manageable trail is suitable for most visitors. Once inside, marvel at the beauty of the 20-meter-long ice tunnel and capture stunning photos to share your adventure.

Glacier Exploration

Your adventure continues as your expert guide leads you beyond the ice cave for a hike deeper onto the glacier. Encounter steeper sections along the way, rewarded with unmatched views and opportunities to pause, take in the scenery, and snap incredible photos.

Please note: While the glacier is vast, other groups may be present in the ice cave area.
