Meeting Point

The Meeting Point is Midgard Base Camp in Hvolsvollur. Midgard Base Camp, Dufþaksbraut 14, Hvolsvöllur. An approx 1.5 hour drive from Reykjavik. Please show up no later than 15 minutes before departure.

What do I need to bring?

  • Bring some food and drinks. When booking you can add a lunchbox from Midgard Restaurant to your booking.

  • Clothing according to weather including rain gear, hiking boots and warm clothes.

  • Good outdoor hiking shoes or boots

Please note

  • Season - Summer (Middle of June – October). Please note: We do not operate this tour before June 20th due to massive snow melting and overflowing of glacial rivers in the highlands.

  • Duration is 8-9 hours.

  • Minimum age is 5 years old.

  • There is a minimum of 4 participants for this tour. In case of fewer bookings we will give you two choices: an alternative trip or a 100% refund. you will be contacted to make sure everything is done to make it happen. Maximum size is 14 people.

  • Wear comfortable clothing, hiking shoes, and warm clothes according to this area’s weather forecast!

Cancellation policy

  • We understand changes happen, cancellations made more than 5 days before departure will be refunded, minus a 10% transaction and service fee.

    Cancellations made less than 5 days before departure are non-refundable.
